Head chef Dimitris Kantarakis was born in Chania, Crete. After graduating Le Monde Culinary School in Athens he travelled to Lucerne Switzerland for his Master’s in European Gourmet Cuisine.
He has had the opportunity of working at many award-winning restaurants in Greece and abroad along with great chefs. His culinary journey began in 2002 and, among others, has taken him from “1800” Restaurant in Santorini, to “Varoulko” Restaurant in Piraeus and to “Geranium” (3 Michelin Star) Restaurant in Copenhagen. His culinary style and philosophy are deeply connected to his Cretan roots by using fresh, organic and high quality products and are expressed though his dishes which he serves with passion.
It is with this passion and enthusiasm that Dimitris leads the talented kitchen team of Omilos crafting a menu of modern design and a touch of tradition to please any palate.
